Dogs on the Playing Fields
We welcome all responsible dog owners and their dogs into the grounds. We have a strong nucleus of dogs and their owners who regularly meet in on the fields, sit on the benches or enjoy a drink at Georgie Porgies Café | |||

We recognise that most dog owners are responsible and clean up after their pets, but a small minority continue to cause problems. Tameside M.B.C. has designated land under The Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996. The designated land includes roads, footpaths, school playing fields and parks. It is an offence for a dog owner not to clean up after their dogs in these areas. Failure to comply can result in a prosecution and fine up to £1000 To view the T.M.B.C Dog Fouling Orders, click here: Advice for dog owners
